Perceptive Perspective - True Love

PhotobucketWell, it's that time of year again... you know... where everyone spends millions - maybe even billions - of dollars on flowers and candy just to prove they love someone...

OK... so I'm the "Scrooge" of Valentine's day! I just don't see the need to have one specific day that you need to prove your love with a $50 bouquet of flowers that will wither away in a few days. I've always told my husband that one flower picked from the ditch on any odd day means more to me than a dozen roses and a box of chocolates on Valentine's day. That means he's thinking of me - just because - not guilted into emptying his wallet because the world told him to think of me.

Don't get me wrong... I'm a hopeless romantic (with an un-romantic husband, by the way). But I see romance as spontaneous, not forced and not coming with a price tag.

Love should have no limits - no reminders - no obligations - no price tag...

Be sure to come back Friday to see if I've chosen you as this week's favorite entry!
