I'm a loser! (Week 2)

Well, another good week... Yep, I said good - not great. But I'll take it with a smile and a skip in my step!

Weighing in this morning, I'm down another 2 pounds. This puts me down a total of 5 in two weeks.  Being someone who can do little exercise, I can't complain that its not more. I'm still mostly just trying to not eat so much and actually sticking to very little treats!

I'm actually pretty proud of myself with saying "NO" lately. Going into my parents' bakery yesterday, I sat talking for about a half hour. I left with buns, bread, and Special K bars for my hubby. I did take a brownie on the way out, but I only ate half and saved the rest for later that night! Can you believe that? Normally, I would have had one when I walked in, another treat when I walked out and took a half a dozen treats home to be eaten within the next 48 hours.

Also, I gave the bag of 2 Special K bars to my hubby last night and he asked if I wanted one. I refused, and it actually didn't faze me. Usually, I would debate in my head whether or not I should have it, ultimately giving in - after all, its only one little bar, right? But I just said no and didn't even think twice about it.

I don't know if any of you are "Biggest Loser" fans, but I've watched every episode ever made. I think that's one thing that has pushed me into all this. When I lost 30 pounds 4+ years ago, I was inspired by the people of "BL" season two. They were a close group who helped each other. This season is the same way. Usually, there is so much game-play, strategy, and selfish behavior to get players to the end. The players tend to be more concerned about staying on the ranch than losing the weight and getting healthier. This happens throughout each season, but tends to get worse as the end approaches. This season, there has been some of that, but it seems that everyone has been pushing for each other as much, if not more than themselves. In turn, this makes the players better friends, better people and stronger competitors, losing insane amounts of weight. One guy is almost down 200 pounds! One girl, who I thought would be gone in the first few weeks has lost 130 pounds. There is also a father-daughter team from Roseville, MN who I've been cheering for. They are so strong, even with his bad knees.

Let's push each other! Let's get into those "skinny jeans" we've been staring at in the back of the closet. What have you done this week?

Great job Hollie , One day at a time and a positive attitude your doing great , they say your only suppose to lose 1 to 2 lbs a week, it doesnt seem like much but I am down 27 lbs in 10 weeks with alot of hard work. drink alot of water, your suppose to take your weight and divide it by 2 and thats how much water you should be drinking in a day. Walking would be great exercise for you, I love to walk if you ever want someone to walk with. Take care and keep up the great work :)Katt

Thanks Katt! (on both!)

Wow! You're doing great... I'd be totally happy with that. Slow and steady wins the race - right? That's ok by me as long as it's gone! I would love to walk with you, but I think you would get really bored at my pace. Plus, it wouldn't be a very long walk!

I'm glad you're enjoying the blog. I actually wish I had more ideas to write about. Any suggestions, send them my way!

Great Job!! I just read your blog (as I was eating a fried cinnamon roll) and felt very guilty! You inspire me to try to lose some as well. We may need new dresses before the end of the summer.
