Another week has come and gone and I'm behind yet again! I miss my uneventful days when the girls are in school and I can blog almost every day and everything is on time. This whole summer I have barely blogged more that my challenges and even those are never on time.

Last week's winner was Tina from Goodies for a Pleasant Life. What a great shot. Check out the water droplets and the detail!

Summer Winner

I know summer has just started, but I sure have had enough! Well... at least enough of bored, fighting children! I know a lot of you are moms out there and I don't know if you feel my pain or not, but these last couple of days have been the worst. Any suggestions of fun for kids that doesn't cost money? I'm tired of spending money in order for them to have fun. What happened to the dog days of summer spent having water fights and playing kick the can and ghost in the graveyard with the neighbor kids? What happened to bike rides and playing in the park for hours? It seems now parents have to entertain their kids and in turn spend a fortune on zoo trips, arcade games, water parks, movies, and a million other parent targeted "I have to have this or I'll throw a fit right here, right now until I get what I want" items.

Now, don't misunderstand me. I do not give my kids everything they want. I've been known to leave a store because my kids are not behaving. My kids are not those type of kids... usually. But the more bored they get, the more they fight with each other and with me.

Ok... tangent over! Back to the task at hand!

All These summer pictures got me in a summer mood, so we will have summer-themed challenges for a couple weeks.

Outdoors Winner

With a theme as vast as "outdoors", there are endless possibilities. You all pulled it off once again!

I have to say, I think this series from Photography by Michelle is one of my favorite series of photos I've ever seen. It looks like so much fun and I want to do this with my girls! You've got some great shots there. I love the splash of the water, the angles and cropping of the photo, the editing, and her face. She starts off with a face that says, "I don't know about this." But by the end, she has a face that says, "OMG! This is so much fun!"

Great shots again everyone!

I usually try to leave comments on everyone's posts, but this last two weeks have been insane for me! So I apologize for not being as attentive as usual. I'm hoping life will get back to "normal" soon, whatever that is...

I know what it's not: a dear friend's funeral, my niece's pre-term birth, substitute teaching for my sister (I'm not even a teacher!), post-delivery complications, ambulance trip to the ER for my grandma, my husband's lay-off from work and new job hunt, a sick daughter for three days, field trips, hospital trips, and "up north" trips... all with gas at four dollars a gallon (with no income!)

I'm spent!!

I'm not sure what else could be pilled on top of all this, but I'm sure there will be something. I just have this feeling that it's not over yet - unfortunately!

Back to you now! Like I said, you all have great photos once again. I love seeing how everyone interprets the theme for the week. I feel like a teacher assigning an assignment and getting everyone's views back is so interesting.
