Well... my girls have now learned about the business world. After earning $8 last night at their kool-aid stand, they went to the store and re-invested some money into more inventory. Shortly after setting up for the morning with a new, more attention grabbing look, competition set up just two houses down trying to undercut their price at a nickle (who shortly after went bankrupt and are now out of business). After the girls paid their employees for the day (2 neighbor girls each 50 cents), the girls are up $14.87 and are still going strong.
As their CEO, I still have final say on price, quality control, and suply. I'm hoping the city of Goodhue will not require any business permits or licenses. We may have to hire a few more emplyees (you just can't find good help these days). An internship may also become a possability - so if you are intersted, please let me know. I'm sure there will be a lot of prospects in this indevor. The board is in discussions of selling shares as well. I personally think we should keep it small and family-owned.
I thought of making a FB page for them, but that might cause an over-abundance of customers!
